2025-26 Events

Each year, PTA funds are used to put on a variety of events to build community spirit and create memorable experiences for our students and families. These activities are all about coming together, celebrating our diversity, and having fun while learning and promoting wellness.

Back to School Night

• Kinder Back to School Night: Aug 5th @ 5:30-6:15pm
• TK: Back to School Night: Aug 5th @ 6:30-7:15pm
• Back to School Night Grades 4 & 5: Aug 14th @ 5-5:45pm
• Back to School Night Grades 1-3: Aug 14th @ 6-6:45pm
• This is a parent/guardian only evening. Approximate 30 minute presentation/Q&A in the classroom. More information to come from your teacher.

Gators on the Green

• Date: Sept 5
• A welcome back celebration at Gallardo! Bring a picnic or grab dinner at one of the food trucks. There will be music, games and activities for families on the lawn field.

Family Yoga Night

• Dates: TBD
• A relaxing and fun-filled evening of yoga to promote health and wellness for students and families.

Multicultural Night

• Date: TBD
• Learn about the diverse cultures within our school community. Volunteers host informational booths about different countries and cultures. They can showcase anything from foods and candies to clothes and toys. 

Red Ribbon Week

• Date: TBD
• A week-long series that promotes making healthy choices. Includes a week of dress up days for kids.

Trunk or Treat

• Date: TBD
• A chance for everyone to show off their costumes! The whole family can get treats at each of the creatively decorated trunks in the school parking lot. 

Rock & Run

• Date: TBD
• Our one annual school fundraising event. After fundraising, the kids have a fun run during school where families can cheer them on as they run laps on the field.

Pizza & Poetry

• Date: TBD
• Students can get up on stage to read their favorite poems or stories.

Pancake Breakfast with Gabby Claus (Student Council)

• This is a Student Council fundraising event. More details coming soon.

STEM Nights

• Dates: TBD
• A fun night with different science, technology, engineering, and math stations for kids to explore.

Cupid Shuffle

• A Valentines family dance party!

Kindness Week

• A week-long series that promotes kindness. Includes a week of dress up days for kids.

Read Across America Day & Book Walk

• Date: TBD
• This is a national day to promote reading. There is a book walk outside the school where families and read a story page by page as they walk past the front of the school.

Gallardo Dance Showcase

• Date: TBD
• A local dance company will teach each class a dance that they will practice and perform for family and friends. This event involves the whole school and is divided into 2 nights.

Gallardo's Got Talent

• Kids from every grade are invited to rehearse and participate in a talent show.

Book Fair

• Date: TBD
• During the school day, kids can stop by to purchase books. Families may come on campus to purchase books after school and at the open house night. Schedule to come.

• Families can visit classrooms to celebrate their students and see the work they have accomplished through the year.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

• We celebrate and show our appreciation to our amazing Gallardo staff.

Character Day

• Volunteers dress as a favorite story book character and read the story to classes throughout the morning.

5th Grade Promotion

• On the last day of school we celebrate the 5th grade class as they prepare to move on to middle school.
