Red Ribbon Week Oct 21-25

Starting Monday, Show Your School Spirit!

The theme this year is "Life is a Movie: Film it Healthy and Bully Free" Click on the flyer to see dress up days!

▪ Monday: Lights, Camera, Action! Walk the RED carpet! Rock your red, movie star style!
▪ Tuesday: Be your best self from the “Inside Out.” Dress like your favorite Inside Out character or color.
▪ Wednesday: Be a “Superhero” against bullying. Dress in your favorite superhero gear.
▪ Thursday: Don’t be a “Sleeping Beauty” against bullying. Wear your favorite pajamas.
▪ Friday: Show your “Spirit” against bullying. Wear Gallardo Spirit or Western wear /
Kinder Scarecrow Day.

volunteers needed!

Trunk or Treat is a fun, safe way for our students to show off their costumes, enjoy some treats, and meet up with their friends after school! To make it a memorable event, we need your help!

• Help with set up or clean up before and after the event
• Judge decorated cars
• Be a candy runner to replenish empty trunks
• Decorate your trunk and pass out candy
• Donate candy (drop off between 10/15-10/25 in the PTA wagon at the front of the school office)

We are BEYOND thrilled to share that our amazing school has been ranked the #1 elementary school in Sacramento County! According to Niche, we’ve topped the charts, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible staff, students, and families who make Sandra J. Gallardo such a special place.

REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST

All students are encouraged to enter!

The theme this year is "Accepting Imperfections." Express yourself through any of the following:

- Literature

- Visual Art

- Photography

- Music

- Film Production

- Dance Choreography

All entries must be submitted using the link below no later than Monday, November 11th. Winners will be selected from each grade and forwarded for a chance to win State or National recognition!!

National Walk & Roll to Shool Day

National Walk & Roll to School Day is almost here! 

On Wednesday, October 9th, make a plan to walk or roll your way to school. To give some extra encouragement, Mrs. Graham and Gabby Gator will meet at 8am at Catlin Park to join in the fun and walk with you! This is a great option if you live just a little too far to walk the whole way.

WE DID IT!!!! We reached 297 members in this year’s PTA Membership Drive!!!

Giving Gators

Our annual fundraiser that provides funding, beyond what the State of California allocates to our school is happening now! This year our goal is to raise $7,500 and we are slowly making our way there! Right now we are almost at the $2,000 mark. Click the button below to contribute. Every little bit helps us provide classroom funds as well as the fun programs and activities for this school year.

Class Challenge
Win a Class Ice Cream Party!

As part of the Gallardo PTA’s efforts to raise membership, we are challenging each class to meet a PTA membership goal of 75% of their class student total. Each class that meets their goals will win ice cream with a special visit from Gabby Gator! Winning classes announced Friday Sept 23rd.

What do they win? Ice cream sandwiches and a visit from Gabby Gator!

Who can join? Parents/Guardians, Students, and Teachers

I have multiple kids. Does my membership count for all of them? YES!

Why join? PTA members partner with Gallardo staff to make our school the best it can be!
